WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF TRADING CFDS?

CFDs are the preferred vehicle for buying stocks by a growing number of investors, for the following reasons:

  • You can invest with any amount, as you only need to pay a margin of the cost for the investment, instead of when you own a stock for example, and have to pay the full cost
  • You don’t own the stock so you don’t have to go through a stockbroker
  • CFDs are easy to buy and sell, not requiring long rigorous processes you might experience with stocks
  • You can trade a variety of instruments from one platform
  • There are no exchange fees

WHAT ARE THE TRADING HOURS?

Trading starts at 12 a.m. Monday and ends 11.59 pm Friday, Server Time (excluding some public holidays). Server time is GMT +2.

WHAT IS A SPREAD?

The spread is the difference between the ask price and the bid price for a security or an asset. The bid is how much a buyer wants to pay, while the ask is what the seller wants to accept.

WHAT IS A PIP?

A pip is a fractional change in a pair of currencies being traded in the Forex market. It is the smallest amount a currency can change, which in currency pairs involving the U.S dollar is 1/100th of 1% or $0.0001, also known as one basis point. It can be further broken down into micro pips, which are a tenth the size of a pip.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TRADES THAT CAN BE EXECUTED AT ONE TIME?

There is no limit to the number of trades that can be carried out at any one time.

WHAT DO THE TERMS ‘LONG’ AND ‘SHORT’ MEAN?

Going long on a stock is when an investor buys a stock in order to own it in the long run, confident the price will go up. Going short on a stock means you expect the price to go down, so you ‘borrow’ the stock from a broker and sell them immediately. The investor then buys the stock after the price drops. The stocks are then returned to the broker.

WHAT IS A STOP LOSS ORDER?

Stop Loss (SL) order does exactly as it says – when losses get too steep according to your own risk threshold, the system will automatically trade your stock. If you go Long on a stock, the SL will be lower than the purchase price, while it is higher than the sell price when you Short it.

CAN I TRADE AFTER THE MARKET CLOSES?

No trades are allowed once the market closes.

WHICH CURRENCIES CAN I DEPOSIT?

Your trading currency will be chosen upon registration, whIch will either be USD, GBP or EUR. This cannot be changed after you have begun trading.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM INITIAL DEPOSIT?

To begin using the platform, the minimum required is 250USD/GBP/EUR, or the equivalent in your local currency.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT IN ORDER TO REGISTER?

You do not have to pay any money to register, only when you want to start trading do you deposit money.

HOW CAN I DEPOSIT MONEY?

You may deposit funds using credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers and some online payment systems. The following cards are readily acceptable:

  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • Maestro
  • Diners

A direct wire transfer to our bank account will reflect immediately. Send us your Swift Confirmation Receipt in order for us to track your transfer quicker.

HOW DO I MAKE A WITHDRAWAL?

Your profits will be sent to the bank account you registered with, while your initial deposit will be returned to the source from which it came. The withdrawal process may take between 5-10 working days, depending on when you make the request and the credit card company/bank you use.

HOW CAN I BECOME A CLIENT OF JPM-INVEST?

CAN I CANCEL A WITHDRAWAL?

Yes, you can cancel a withdrawal, but it is best to do so as quickly as possible, by contacting client support and your account manager.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT?

The minimum withdrawal is $100. There is a flat admin cost of $35 per withdrawal.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY PERSONAL DETAILS CHANGE?

You can send an email to client support to have your personal details updated.

WHERE CAN I VIEW MY ACCOUNT BALANCE?

Your account balance will be visible at the top of the page. Otherwise, go to ‘My Account’, and you will view your balance and all transactions. This section is only available to registered users.

WHAT ARE THE COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS TO TRADE ON JPM-INVEST?

Our platform can be used on any computing device – smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. All you need is a web browser – Google Chrome preferably, and Adobe Flash Player.

WHAT DO I DO IF I AM UNABLE TO TRADE?
